Good things certainly have happened when two stars aligned for Rocket Round Leicester.
Leicestershire businesses, Welcomm Communications and Trucklink EU have developed a strong relationship over many years of working together, and have now both again pledged their support in raising funds for LOROS Hospice as a Rocket Sponsor and Official Logistics Partner respectively.
Not only will their giant Rocket sculptures feature alongside one another to form Leicester’s biggest public art event in summer 2021 but, both businesses also work together as Welcomm supplies a full suite of communication services, including mobile and telephony, to Trucklink EU and their parent company HAE Global. In a pledge to make a positive difference in their local community, Welcomm and Trucklink EU will continue to utilise their existing partnership to maximise their involvement with Rocket Round Leicester.
LOROS Hospice is working with leading art event producers Wild in Art to showcase 40 spectacular Rockets sculptures designed by local artists as part of a city-wide trail. Sponsors, like Welcomm and Trucklink, are invited to choose their favourite Rocket design, help rebuild the city following Covid-19 and enjoy audience engagement opportunities.
At the end of the trail, each giant Rocket will be auctioned to raise money for LOROS Hospice to help them continue to care for over 2,500 terminally ill local people every year.
Both Welcomm and Trucklink EU regularly fundraise internally for LOROS as they recognise the care that LOROS provides across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland from holding personal connections to the much-loved charity. More recently, both organisations have fundraised with their teams to keep colleagues connected during what has been a challenging time.
Welcomm and Trucklink EU will strengthen their partnership by collaboratively raising additional funds for LOROS throughout the Rocket Round Leicester project. Upcoming fundraising initiatives that both organisations are eagerly looking forward to hosting include a fun-filled charity auction, branding 30 vehicles with the news that the trail is launching and a virtual Bake Off – with a twist!
