Unbelievably, it’s the FINAL week of the Rocket Round Leicester Art Trail! Ten weeks has zoomed by in a flash.
We hope you’ve managed to see all 40 amazing Rockets and 35 mini Junior Jets! If not, don’t forget you can catch them ALL at our Farewell Weekend on 9th-10th October.
This week is Love Leicester Week! At LOROS we are delighted at how Rocket Round Leicester has brought the community of Leicester together.
The trail has helped people chat, share their favourites and interact in a way that the pandemic has made so difficult. It’s made us all remember why we #LoveLeicester!
As a local hospice, LOROS is at the heart of the community of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Our patients, their families and carers, our staff and our volunteers live and work in the area and we rely on the support of our community to raise the money we need to care for more than 2,500 patients each year.
As well as wowing the community of Leicester, our trail has also been created by them! In this final week why not check out some of our brilliant Rockets designed by artists from Leicester? Helen Sibson, who painted the beautiful Birds of the City Rocket, will be in our Trail Hub shop on Thursday 23rd September from 11am to 2pm to talk about her out-of-this-world design work – come along and say hello!
Don’t forget if you #LoveLeicester to pop in to the city’s wonderful shops, eateries, museums, historical buildings, parks, entertainment venues, charities…the list goes on! It’s also the first Leicester Cocktail Week from 20th-26th September so the perfect excuse to combine our trail with a visit to the city’s many bars for a cocktail, or even a Rocktail!
Whatever you do, make the most of this last week of the Rocket Round Leicester Trail!
