Cambridge & Counties Bank, Spectrum Health, Measom and Dunelm are the latest Leicester-based organisations to jump on-board the Rocket Round Leicester art trail as Rocket Sponsors and a Premium Rocket Sponsor respectively.
Pledging their support to raise funds for LOROS Hospice, these local businesses have each gained a once in a lifetime opportunity to sponsor a giant Rocket sculpture as part of the city-wide trail.
LOROS Hospice is working with leading art event producers Wild in Art to create Rocket Round Leicester, the biggest art event the city has ever seen. Landing in summer 2021, Official Supporters include Mattioli Woods, BID Leicester and Leicester City Council, alongside Trucklink EU as Official Logistic Partner. Morningside Pharmaceuticals, Spire Leicester Hospital and Welcomm Communications are also amongst the growing list of Rocket Sponsors.
Showcasing 40 spectacular Rockets sculptures designed by local and national artists and sponsored by Leicester businesses, the trail will bring colour and conversation back to the streets. Sponsors are invited to take part in audience engagement opportunities and reach new heights with star-quality packages tailored for business development. As well as featuring throughout the Rocket Round Leicester app, additional perks include PR and CSR benefits alongside networking events with other local organisations.
Christian Cowie, Director of Marketing & Savings at Cambridge & Counties said, “We are proud to support the wonderful work carried out by LOROS. We were keen to get involved with this new initiative supporting culture and arts in our local community.
“We hope everyone is as excited as we are for the family friendly activities to come!”
Positively contributing to the economic, cultural and social life of Leicester, Rocket Round Leicester will play an important part in the city’s post-pandemic economic recovery whilst also supporting a much-loved local charity.
At the end of the trail, each giant Rocket will be auctioned to raise money for the much-loved charity to help them continue to care for over 2,500 terminally ill local people every year.
LOROS Hospice CEO, John Knight said, “Leicester’s businesses have a gilt-edged opportunity to join us on an art trail which will soon be regarded as the cultural high point of the past few years.
“Rocket Round Leicester will mark the start of Leicester’s re-emergence post Covid-19, as communities, schools, businesses and artists come together to mend their city.
“Who wouldn’t want to be part of that?”
